Why does your service exist?
In today’s age of extreme demand for collectible items, it has become harder and harder to walk into a store and expect there to be availability for your favourite collectors items. Combined with vague release information from big department stores or staff members being ill informed, you are often being told - “sorry, we’re all sold out”.
We are here to bridge the gap between you - the collector, and the retailer by providing instant alerts to new products and price changes across over 100 retailers in NZ.
What separates your discord from a local facebook group or group chat?
While facebook groups and group chats are a good way to stay informed with your local hobby communities, the information passed around moves slowly and often leads to disappointment if depended on. Our discord is designed for those that want instant notifications on highly sought after products, where demand is high and supply is low. Thanks to our custom built webscripts, we provide stock updates in realtime, with no need to wait on a community post in a facebook group, or group chat.
How are you able to provide instant alerts for new products and price changes?
Our alerts and updates are sourced directly from the retailers using custom coded webscripts. In simple terms, these webscripts are automated robots that are refreshing the store’s website on your behalf, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across over 100 different stores. When a new product is released, or prices are lowered, our scripts send an alert to the discord where you are immediately notified.
Does your service cover product alerts for in store stock changes or is it limited to just online?
Thanks to many retailers syncing both in store and online stock systems, our webscripts are able to detect exactly when stock is available to buy in stores, even if it's showing out of stock on the website. This is achieved by monitoring for stock changes at a individual store level, which is great for certain retailers that choose to release their highly sought after items in store only.
